I’ll admit it. As much as I like to cook and create there are times… times when I’m tired, and hungry and in a hurry and have no substantial food… and I’m too lazy to go out.
Odd, I know.
But those times often breed some of the best creations. It’s very rare that I keep anything on hand that qualifies in the ‘pre-made’ category, but there are a few staples that I try to have on hand as the season suits. Pasta is a good example of this. I don’t eat a lot of pasta, and when I do, it’s typically in the cold weather months. The thing is, I’m never that coordinated. I have pasta but I have no sauce. I have sauce but I’m out of pasta. So then I lean on fresh garlic, and olive oil and onions, then promptly run out of those. It always…
